Build-a-Brain Workshop

This MSE hosted session will be project specific and will focus on an ongoing effort to develop a robot to 3D print viscous materials, and generally be able to use syringes and pipettes to automatically dispense or print a wide variety of items at very low cost. The goal is to produce an open-source, high resolution system design for the world to use that is very low cost.

Specifically, the first applications we will we focusing on are the LifeInk Collagen Printing process for printing a nose ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5jIEGiins84 ) and auto-pipetting of fluids.

This user group session will engage with robotics, mechanical design, 3d printing, fluid mechanics, programming, chemistry, biology, and much more. Come join the fun and help us create a great new tool at the Build-a-Brain Workshop. Sessions will be held in the Makerspace Engineering Center, Small Hall room 224.
