Data Crunch: Data Management & Sharing Plans

Data Crunch: Data Management & Sharing Plans In-Person

Data Management is the process of collecting, organizing, describing, sharing, and preserving data. The purpose of a data management plan is to help you start planning out how you will manage and share your data early in the research process. These documents will not only save you time because you've already considered what you will do with your data right from the beginning, but it will help you create a plan for how you will document, organize, secure, store and share your data before the project conclusion. If you plan to pursue grant funding, they are often a required element.

In this workshop of the Data Crunch Series, a part of Researcher Services at Swem Library and McLeod Business Library, will talk about the elements of a data management and sharing plans and resources for getting started with creating one.

Snacks will be provided, but attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch. Please register by September 10th.
