Open Publishing: Open Access & You

Open Publishing: Open Access & You In-Person

Open access (OA) scholarship is digital, online, free of charge, and free of most copyright and licensing restrictions. What makes OA possible is the internet and the consent of the author or copyright-holder. Before the internet, subscription access to scholarship was necessary in order to identify readers and ensure that they had access to resources. Now, the scholarly publishing landscape has shifted to encourage open access publishing and creative dissemination of research. Come to this session and learn how you can expand the reach of your research and create innovative digital research projects.

Snacks will be provided, but attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch. Please register by October 22nd.
