Naval History in Special Collections In-Person

Please join us on Thursday, July 25 for an evening of Naval History in Special Collections, featuring unique and one-of-kind Navy-related materials from W&M’s Special Collections.

Materials on display will include photographs and news clippings documenting WWII's SS William and Mary Victory, the complete collection of commissioned sketches of US Navy uniforms from 1776-1967, the 1919 and 1924 volumes of Janes Fighting ships, and much more.

From 5-7 p.m. enjoy a reception with fellow Naval Academy alumni, while viewing several Navy-themed items specifically chosen from the archives to be remembered and revered. W&M archivists will be on-site to discuss the collections and answer questions.

Light appetizers, beer/wine and refreshments provided.
