The rules are simple: write, shoot, and edit a short film in just 24 hours! The contest is open to W&M students and alumni, pros and amateurs alike, and is a chance to show your filmmaking chops on the big screen.

NOTE: ONE REGISTRATION PER TEAM - ONLY ONE MEMBER NEEDS TO REGISTER ON BEHALF OF TEAM!
The Annual 24 Speed Filmmaking Competition kicks off on Friday, MARCH 1,  5:30PM.  The actual contest will run from 7PM Friday - 7PM Saturday. Student teams are expected to show up in person at the Ford Classroom at the Reeder Media Center (located on the ground floor of Swem Library), whereas alumni teams can tune in live via Zoom.  At the kickoff ceremony, each team will be given a prop and line of dialogue that must be used in their film, as well as a genre for their film.

Registration for 24 Speed 2023 begins MONDAY FEBRUARY 5 and ends THURSDAY, FEB 29, 2024 at MIDNIGHT!
