DH Fundamentals: Transcription and Text Encoding In-Person
Transcription and text encoding are two skills that are fundamental to digital humanities work and projects, learn a bit about both in this workshop and pre-event for W&M Libraries' International Love Data Week: Transcribe-a-thon taking place all day February 12th in Swem Library's Ford Classroom.
This workshop hosted by W&M Libraries and the A&S Graduate Center will introduce the concepts of transcription and text encoding, using TEI Guidelines. Participants will learn the introductory concepts and get some hands-on practice. No previous experience is necessary.
