W&M Libraries' New Faculty Orientation In-Person

Welcome to William & Mary!

W&M Libraries is your instructional partner and we invite you to join us on August 24 at 10:30 am to meet librarians and learn about the collections, services, technologies, and spaces that will help you to make the most of the libraries and campus resources for your teaching and research this year.

This event is a great opportunity to network with other new faculty and to learn how W&M Libraries, W&M IT, Studio for Teaching & Learning, Center for Geospatial Analysis, Writing Resources Center, Tutor Zone, and the Muscarelle Museum of Art support you and your students .

A sample of take-aways from the event:

  • place items on course reserves,
  • order books and videos for your class or research
  • use special collections and archival resources in assignments,
  • schedule information literacy instruction for your courses,
  • create a faculty profile in the Institutional Repository and talk about publishing,
  • login and get help with BlackBoard
  • resources for teaching & learning and student support
